Weekly Events
At our Monthly Fellowship Events, the student leadership team votes and prepares fun events for us to do. The events span from a movie night, video games, disc golf, roller skating, and more. These events are fun ways for students to unwind from their busy schedules and meet new friends. Stop by for an event full of fun.
On the first Thursday of the month at 7:30pm, we will have Pub Theology lessons at Kochendorfer’s Brewing Company in Duncan. We’ll discuss the nature of God in a conversational style over a pint to drink or food truck food. If you miss the in-person lesson, don’t worry. The lessons are recorded and shared on the “CU Wesley Podcast” which you can listen to where ever you get your podcasts.
At Lawton Circuit Runners, we meet up at Viridian Coffee to pray and warm up together every Saturday. Then we walk or run around Elmer Thomas Park at whatever pace we feel comfortable. Recently, we have had a physical therapist leading the warmup stretch and teaching us how to properly recover from long runs. It has been a great way to get people more involved as they are also taking care of their health.
Every Thursday from 11:30am-1:30pm we have a lunch served by local churches. This is a great opportunity especially for our commuter students to have a hot meal ready and waiting for you. No cost, no preaching, no cooking, no doing dishes; just enjoying yummy food.
NEW: Keep on the look out for lunches at Cameron University Duncan Campus! It is not often but it is delicious.

Tuesday Worship
Join us as we read through the Bible together. We'll cover the topics that you are interested in. And we'll learn the different ways that theologians use to engage in studying God's Word. We meet at the CU Wesley, every Tuesday at 6pm. There is a dinner to follow at 7pm and worship at 7:30pm.

Free Lunch on Thursdays
At our weekly Tuesdays worship, we will have dinner at 7:00pm and worship 7:30pm. During these times we have group games, mission work, and other recreational activities to grow closer together and closer to God. Once a month we celebrate Holy Communion. After the worship service, the director leads a discussion time so that students can engage with the scripture by sharing their own stories and experiences. Sometimes students allow the answers to those questions to be recorded and shared as guided testimonies for the video archive of worship services.

Last year, we started helping out at St. Paul UMC in Duncan’s Drive-In Trunk-or-Treat. CU Wesley students dressed up as baker’s from “The Great British Baking Show” loaded up in the director’s car and drove out to Duncan. We passed out mini cupcakes, candy, and CU Wesley highlighted to over 300 people. We plan on going back to this mission project again this year and helping with other community events at St. Paul UMC in Duncan.
We are still working on planning more mission work opportunities for students in the future. We have looking to helping at Aldersgate Redemption Church or possibly going on a Volunteers in Mission trip and teaming up with Cameron Campus Ministries to do good work in and out of Lawton.
